That isn't the official name of this palm, but why they didn't call this plant from hell the "Devil's Palm" is beyond me. I've never seen anything any more ferocious looking. As if the spiny trunk weren't bad enough, even the freakin leaves have huge pokey things on them. YEOUCH! This one happened to be in a pot, by the restrooms. I think they wanted to make sure you didn't linger. What I took away from it was, "if you have to go in the woods, look very carefully before you grab the closest leaf".
