Hoover Dam

The day after Red Rock, we decided to go to Hoover Dam. Even though Carlito said he couldn't sleep at all the night before because his legs hurt too bad ;-) he decided to come with us again anyways.

It was just as neat as I remembered

Bonnie Springs

After playing in the canyon, we were all famished, so we decided to hit nearby Bonnie Springs. It's a little ghost town, come tourist attraction, that turned out to be cute as could be in its cheesy fun. We ate at their little restaurant, then went through a petting zoo, where I had my shoelaces untied time and time again by a cute, soft little muzzle.

On the way out we finally found what Steve had been looking for all day - the wild burrows that roam the canyon. Here's a few of them coming up to say hi

Tiny little hoppy toad

I have no idea what this little guy is - and I wanted to catch him so bad I couldn't stand it. But, those red spots on his back made me think twice. I don't know if we have any poisonous frogs in N.America or not, but I figured better safe than sorry.

Red Rock

Hiking down through filtered sunlight.

I love the picture of Steve - the light's really nice, and as you can tell by his shirt, we'd just gotten another little shower. It was amazing how cold and wonderful those raindrops were!

I'm kneeling by a tiny little spring in the last picture. It's pretty hard to see, but it was some good, refreshing water, that's for sure!
