Moving right along... the next weekend, Carlito, Steve and I went to Red Rock Canyon, just outside of Vegas. This turned out to be a really unexpected treat - it was way more beautiful than I had ever expected.
This little chipmunk was outside of the Visitor's Center, and I can't think of a worse place to make a roost out of. After he ran off, I had to touch the spines of the cactus, just to see... and very nearly drew blood. That's one tough chipmunk!!
