This is why it becomes difficult to get anything done in the kitchen

A 25 lb weight on your foot doesn't facilitate cooking. But it due is endearing...

My sweet puppy

We enjoyed a little nap snugglin. Not sure he's gonna fit for much longer. Well, so long as we keep feeding him, that is

Really, it was just a matter of time

Working on the new stroller

Since I'm having a little difficulty rolling around these days, Steve hooked up the brakes on the new Chariot stroller today. He had some good help.

Our new favorite game:

Antagonize the vacuum

Happy boys

It's a good night :-)

Clasping his little legs up

Those are some chubby little legs, no? Apparently, My half gallon of milk per day habit is going to good use

Elvis

Yeah. That's an Elvis lip curl if I ever saw one

Reaching up

He finally came UN-balled for a few seconds. Here, he's reaching up on the left side, and you can see his little knees clasped up on his chest and a little foot on the left

Sleepy head

Rubbing his eyes with both hands, and pouting profusely that we're interrupting his nap

This one's kinda self explanatory...

Since he wouldn't uncover the top end, we took pictures of the other end :-)

Amazing xray vision!

In an attempt to get a shot of his face, the tech zoomed pretty much all the way through his little arm. Creepy, and cool that you can see bones too!

So, in this one, on the left, his little arm is over his face and his hand's wrapped around his head. Still got a mess of umbilical cord on the right

Meeting the little guy

Unfortunately, he wasn't being overwhelmingly cooperative when we went to get our 3d ultrasound - he pretty much stayed balled up te whole time, so there was either a foot, a hand, or an umbilical cord blocking his little face. This ended up being the best of all the shots we ended up with. The tech said she would try again on my next regularly scheduled ultrasound, so I may have some more in the future.

All the same, how amazing to get to see him for the first time, and put a face to all those little nudges and kicks (and some not so little!) I can't get over how chubby his little cheeks are!

In his pic, his little hands are both kind of to the left, his head's kind of laying on the placenta to the left, and the umbilical cord is the glop on the right of the picture.

We're both kind of in awe - and j just can't quit looking at this picture :-)

Nap buddy

Productivity takes a rapid nose dive when you've got a Dillinger to nap with

New spectacles

Purple and green cat eye frames make me feel sassy...

And, Spud isn't the only one growing like a weed...

The latest ultrasound

Well, the spud is growing by leaps and bounds. According to the latest measurements, he's now 5lbs and growing like a weed. He's fully 3 weeks bigger than the dates we're working with, so as much as I'd like to have a May baby, I think we're gonna have this little guy next month. They're projecting 8-9 lb birthweight, so I think there's no doubt Steve's the dad. <joking>

I ended up hysterical by how much he looked like Homer Simpson in this batch of pictures.

Steve's fuzzy new son

The new arrival

Last Sunday, a new fuzzy bundle of joy came to live with us. Introducing Dillinger, the wonder pup. And wonder pup he is; we are both beside ourselves with how great he is; eager to please, responsive to commands, extraordinarily trainable, and totally mood-matching. He's a 6 month old Portuguese Water Dog, so no shedding, and we've watched him grow over the past week he's been with us. We're guessing he's going to be about 50 lbs or so. As soon as he gets his shots, I'm expecting a great running buddy.

Mr chipmunk's on her shoulder

It's the truth! It's actual! Everything is satisfactual...

Huddled Hornbecks

Once the sun goes down, that breeze gets a bit nippy!

Warm hugs for a chilly sunset

Caching up

Yet again, I'm WAAAAAY behind in updating the blog. Lots of happenings going on, I suppose. But, certainly time to catch up. Here are some pictures from Mom and Aunt Jean's visit in February. I had a wonderful time having them out here!
