Another job bites the dust!

So, Steve slunk off to the casita tonight ... I thought he was in there doing pull-ups on the bar. However, when I walked in, this was what I found! YEAH! We've been looking and looking for overhead lighting and/or fans that we liked and this was pretty much the only one that came close to fitting the bill. We'd been putting off buying it since it only came with a 25 watt bulb, but we finally deeded that since it was going in the media room, we didn't need a light that would give us a tan as well. As it stands, we're still ok, cause it will accept up to 200 watts. So, double Yay.

For those of you who have also been putting up ceiling fans and also having trouble... rest assured, you're not the only one. This one stalwartly refused to turn on, even after all power supplies had been checked multiple times. AND - all the color-coded wires even matched up. The culprit? It came with a remote control. The battery IN the remote control was plastic wrapped in damn near invisible plastic.

Now, trying to figure out what kind of light to get for the great room. It's only got to dangle from like a 40-ft ceiling...
