In case you're wondering, yes, those ladders really are just propped
on the power lines they're replacing. When we came down this same road
earlier this morning, the same crew was holding the line up across the
road with 2 2x4s nailed together end-to-end. Steve wanted to go back
and get a picture of it, but I put up a squawk, since it meant we'd
have to drive under it two more times. I see no need to tempt fate,
even if they do.

New Year's Eve, Party II
How many Ricans does it take to figure out how to open the fence to Jimmy's yard?
This is about 1:45 am, and we're all laughing because Savannah, who had been sooooo sleepy before, just disappeared. Come to find out, the "sleepies" disappeared instantly when we left the "boring" party and got out of the car to go to the one with other kids! While we were getting our stuff together, she jumped the fence and left us in the dust!

Happy New Year!!
Happy 2011 everyone! It's been a long time since our last post; several months on the road, impending move, and a computer virus all add up to not much time in the way of taking care of this blog. I hope to catch up a little here and there, but lest I don't, I wanted to share some of our New Year's celebrations.
This is our first party of New Year's Eve, at Danny's house somewhere around 11:30, watching Arlene's Mom and sisters work the twist. It's worth watching all the way to the end, just to see how tickled their grandson gets watching the fun!
It was the start of such an amazing night - such good people. I dont' know if my stomach hurt more from waaaaaaayyyy too much food, or from laughing so hard. Either way - it was happy!
