How's that for a sunset?
This was taken from the top balcony of the the Glass House. I came home from supper tonight and was greeted as I pulled into the drive by the guy and the girl upstairs. They instantly invited me up to their balcony, so I went and grabbed an armful of cold Sam Adams and headed upstairs. Come to find out, the guy was the one of the builders of this house, and the girl was his niece - and the daughter of the bamboo artist behind us. Since it was approaching sunset, they quickly ushered us up higher and higher until we walked out on the top balcony - and this was what greeted us! AMAZING! So, we sat, drank beer, and talked as it grew dark, and just had a great time. I have never in my life met such an open, happy, friendly group of people!

Isabela
This is the neighboring town, but take that with a grain of salt. It
takes 3 minutes to get there from where we're staying! We sat here in
this restaurant and watched the waves crash over the rocks for a good
hour - it just never gets old.

I wanna iguana!
This is from the edge of a boat - we took a boat tour of a herd of
mangroves, and pulled in alongside an island owned by the Mayaguez
university marine research department. This flock of iguanas was our
welcoming committee.

Today we moved into a new temporary apartment...
This is what the beach looks like. The surf is absolutely incredible!
They're expecting 15' surf today and tomorrow. I would guess it's
getting as high as 10' right now. It's just downright gorgeous - but
not a snowballs chance I'm dipping a toe in any time soon! It the soft
lapping waves of crashboat beach for this wahine.

Crahsboat beach
Today is our third day on the island and the first for me to stop
running around like ricochet rabbit and slow down the explorations
enough to remember my goal of at least one picture a day. This is
crashboat beach - the "best" in aguadilla. The last time we were here
the waves were zorchin-today it's nice lazy curls that leave the water
crystal blue and clear. Steve wanted breakfast this morning so this is
where I came to walk it off... Not a bad way to start the day!

And for the record, yes. I did climb a tree to take this picture. Also
for the record, I'm not sure whether the lizard or me was more
startled when I grabbed him on the backside of the limb. The ensuing
dismount from the tree was spectacular.
