Getting Home
Of course, flying just can't be easy, and this trip was no exception. They canceled our flight, which kind of left us up a creek. Surprisingly, there's not a whole lot of flights out of the Ozarks, and we had to leave back out of Fayetteville, AR or else pay hundreds of dollars to drop off the car at another location. So. Eventually, we got out of AR, but had to spend the night in Newark. This was the sunrise the next morning... what a beaut, eh?
Even though spending the day in the EWR airport sucks, it's really good to be back to some familiarities like good, strong coffee. (I still think it's strange that we can't get good coffee, living on an island in the Caribbean. Seriously, there are coffee plantations everywhere...) As luck would have it, we were on the same flight back to the island as our friends Leslie and Justin. They were returning from a trip to Europe and we met up with them in the airport. It made a long day in the airport a whole lot better to have some good company and their wonderful pictures to look through!
