We made it to the waterfall JUST before it started to sprinkle on us. I love the picture of Steve cause you can tell how misty and damp the air was.
Surprisingly enough, it really wasn't hot. Humid, yes. But the air was pretty cool.
AND... La Mina Falls. The prize of this hike. The third picture I had to post because it is exactly what I love about this island. The little pool that the couple are in is just to the right of the waterfall, and this family had hiked all the way in with their coolers and were just sitting in the pool drinking like it was the best jacuzzi they've ever been in. I love that people get out and DO things here, and I love that they take advantage of the beauty that's around them. Here's a couple of couples that are probably in their 60s, but rather than stay in the house, they schlepped a cooler up and down wet paths for a mile to get HERE to have their get-together. It's great!
We got to the falls on a Sunday, so it was packed... but still fun. Everyone was in a great spirit, and having fun with everyone else.
