New patio
Sent from my iPhone. Yeah! Today they came and tore out our old brick patio and are getting
ready to pour a new concrete one. As much as I don't like the looks of
a concrete slab, of will be nice to have a level surface for the
table. Plus, I have a whole pile of stones now to use to decorate to
my hearts content!!

Frog strangler
Sent from my iPhone. Frog strangler. I've always used the term, but now I have a whole new
appreciation. It rained like crazy day before yesterday, enough to
flood roads and knock off the power grid for a couple of hours. Last
night, I was driving us home after a late dinner with friends, and we
were just commenting on how great it sounded with all the frogs
hollering after the rains, when I turned the corner and popped one of
the little fellows sitting in the middle of the road. Of course,
trauma ensued, and Steve was trying to distract me and keep me from
crying over dead toads when we turned another corner and found THIS.
Both of us stopped at the same time and said "what the hell is THAT?!"
Fortunately, we got it out of the road before we ran over it, or else
I would still be cleaning the car today!

The bathroom
Sent from my iPhone. We managed to do the impossible... We moved into a place with a
smaller bathroom than Our Forest house
The kitchen
Sent from my iPhone. I'm actually kind of tickled with the kitchen. What it lacks in
beauty, it make up for in countertop space and cabinets.
The kitchen tile
Sent from my iPhone. See? I said it was just as spectacular.
Apparently, everyone in the 1920s all suffered from aggregious
astigmatisms.
Or, they were all blind?
Short of those 2 explanations, I'm failing to see how anyone could lay
this tile in good conscience.
Just so you can get a full appreciation of the tile floors...
Sent from my iPhone. This is throughout the entire house (wow, that's a lot of noise going
on). Well, the whole house except for the kitchen, which is just as
much in its own living technicolor...
Moving day!
Sent from my iPhone. Here was the first of our welcoming committee this morning! This
little guy is on the window of the laundry room.

Sundowner
Sent from my iPhone. Went back up to the top balcony of the house to have a sundowner with
Lourdes last night. It just never gets old. She first started coming
to this beach when she was a wee young thing and it really was just
shack bungalows that you stayed in (thus the name of the beach). She
told us that last November, one of the frog-strangler rains left them
totally flooded in... And the day before a big party they were having.
Not to let a good pig roast go to ruin, they spent a whole day
shoveling sand, opening the jammed river back up into the ocean. I'm
guessing after that, they ate half the pig themselves.
