The latest ultrasound
Well, the spud is growing by leaps and bounds. According to the latest measurements, he's now 5lbs and growing like a weed. He's fully 3 weeks bigger than the dates we're working with, so as much as I'd like to have a May baby, I think we're gonna have this little guy next month. They're projecting 8-9 lb birthweight, so I think there's no doubt Steve's the dad. <joking>
I ended up hysterical by how much he looked like Homer Simpson in this batch of pictures.
The new arrival
Last Sunday, a new fuzzy bundle of joy came to live with us. Introducing Dillinger, the wonder pup. And wonder pup he is; we are both beside ourselves with how great he is; eager to please, responsive to commands, extraordinarily trainable, and totally mood-matching. He's a 6 month old Portuguese Water Dog, so no shedding, and we've watched him grow over the past week he's been with us. We're guessing he's going to be about 50 lbs or so. As soon as he gets his shots, I'm expecting a great running buddy.
Caching up
Yet again, I'm WAAAAAY behind in updating the blog. Lots of happenings going on, I suppose. But, certainly time to catch up. Here are some pictures from Mom and Aunt Jean's visit in February. I had a wonderful time having them out here!

Our favorite little cave
The rocks tumbled just right to make a perfect little shelter here. We love it, cause it's out of the wind, and the afternoon sun heats the rocks up, so it's like a little heated room when you go in after sunset.
Hugging rocks during a scramble
Isn't quite as easy as it used to be...
(for the record, Steve took this picture for dramatic effect; I wasn't really climbing where I shouldn't with an extra 20 lbs poking out in front to balance)
